Quote of the Day

Vice President Dick Cheney provides a wonderful quote on terrorists in his speech today at the Heritage Foundation.

If we have learned anything in the last 25 years -- from Beirut, to Somalia, to the USS Cole -- it is that terrorist attacks are not caused by the projection of force; they are invited by the perception of weakness.

In this one sentence, Cheney hits the nail squarely on the head. The terrorists only understand force. Anything else is seen as weakness to attack. Currently, Bush is projecting strength on two fronts. The first is Iraq. He is staying until the job is done and not a minute sooner. He is not taking the cut and run approach championed by the Democrats. Secondly, he is using all of the legal resources available to him to hunt down and stop terrorists trying to attack us on our soil. This strength is what has kept us from being attacked.

What is scary is that the Democrats are undermining this strength in there pathetic attempts to destroy this president. What they are really doing is creating a perception of weakness that will embolden the terrorists around the world.
