Crony Express VIII

Beshear told us he didn't care about party affiliation for people working in his administration. I guess what he meant to say was he doesn't care about party affiliation as long as you aren't a Republican.

Rather than finding out if any of Fletcher's appointments were competent, Beshear has decided to clean house.

Governor Beshear is making wholesale changes in what will soon be the Labor Cabinet, firing or asking for the resignations of virtually every Fletcher appointee.

I find it hard to believe that EVERY Fletcher appointee was incompetent and needed to be removed. But then again, he had to make room for his cronies.

Kembra Taylor, who previously worked in the Labor Cabinet under Gov. Patton, is apparently back as general counsel.

It hasn't take Beshear long to return Frankfort to the good old days of Democratic cronyism. What surprises me is how brazen the Democrats have been about it. The have shown nothing buy arrogance as they purse a policy of pure political skulduggery.

I can't wait for the press to rip into the Dems over the hiring choices. It must only be a matter of days before we see an endless array of stories castigating the Democrats for their partisanship. Oh wait, never mind. Beshear is a Democrat. The best we can hope for is some grumbling about the hires. The double standard in the press must be upheld.
