Scorsone As A Judge?

« Socializing Health Care Is Bad Idea | Main | Politics Of Gasoline Part 2 »

Rumor has it that the most liberal senator in the state legislator is seeking an appointment as a Fayette Circuit Judge.

A judicial vacancy could shuffle the makeup of Fayette County's legislative delegation.

Fayette Chief Circuit Judge Sheila Isaac vacated her Seventh Division seat on June 2 to enter the senior judge program. Speculation in Frankfort is rampant that longtime state Sen. Ernesto Scorsone, D-Lexington, will seek an appointment to Isaac's seat.

That's just what Kentucky needs. Another liberal activist judge sitting on the bench. We can't have enough judges who make up the laws as they go along rather than interpreting the laws as they are written.

To make matters worse, Kathy Stein will probably be the leading candidate of those hoping to replace Scorsone in the senate. So we get to replace the most liberal member of the senate with one of the most liberal members of the house. Wunderbar! We can only hope Scorsone doesn't make the cut.
